Startup Wrocław serves as the coordinator for the urban startup ecosystem in Wrocław. Its activities support local technology companies by organizing networking meetings and events, promoting them, and facilitating connections with established entities and investment funds. Additionally, the team maintains an information service at startupwroclaw.pl, which includes a unique database of Wrocław startups.

As the only university in Lower Silesia with the status of a Research University, the University of Wrocław is able to generate benefits for accelerated startups. With an academic community of nearly 30,000 people, 10 faculties, 150 fields of study, and over 500 professors, it provides recognizable best practices, tools, and standards for supporting the development of innovative businesses. Additionally, the University of Wrocław cooperates with approximately 800 foreign universities. Through its Technology Transfer Center, the university works closely with businesses and has developed effective practices for translating scientific projects into commercial ventures. The university also has experience in building and implementing scientific and business partnerships, collaborating with business support institutions, and is a key element of the regional and local innovation system

SWPS University is the first non-public university in Poland to be among the country’s most active research units, distinguished by the highest rating of A+ for its research in psychology and political and administrative sciences. The university employs nearly 400 scientists in over 20 research centers.

It conducts an average of 250 projects annually, some of which are applied projects of significant social importance. It has campuses in six Polish cities, which are modernly equipped and enable world-class research. SWPS University has a well-functioning system for supporting entrepreneurship and commercializing R&D results, namely the Knowledge Transfer Center, which handles the incubation and acceleration of innovations based on research from social sciences and humanities. It has experience in IP protection and the creation and acceleration of startups. It also has a special purpose company, SWPS Innowacje, which provides various research and advisory services for businesses and the socio-economic environment.

The Lower Silesian Regional Development Agency (DARR S.A.) is one of the oldest business support institutions in Lower Silesia, established in 1991. It is a non-profit organization whose statutory goal is to support the development of knowledge-based private entrepreneurship, among other things. The institution has completed over 140 projects, and the total value of support provided to entrepreneurs exceeds PLN 460 million. DARR S.A. has extensive experience in supporting innovative startups through its acceleration programs (Climate-KIC, ClimateLaunchpad, Greenhouse), grant programs (Innovation Voucher 2022-2023), mentoring programs (Futurepreneurs), and in capital investments and the creation of new spin-off companies (Innovation Accelerator Lower Silesian Technology Park T-Park).

The Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (AIP WUST) is a gateway to the world of business, innovation, and technology. Its goal is to support innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs who want to implement innovative products and services. It works with both university affiliates and external specialists to provide comprehensive and practical knowledge. It offers not only a business address but also the possibility of renting office space. AIP WUST organizes pre-incubation programs such as “Grow Up Tech” consultations with experts and practitioners, and a range of events for the startup community. The incubator’s activities aim to connect creators and innovators with businesses and investors.

At inQUBE, we minimize the risks associated with running a startup. The mission of the University Business Incubator is to support the business aspirations of students, graduates, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The inQUBE team is involved in various initiatives, such as:

• Promoting the idea of entrepreneurship by organizing creative workshops that allow testing innovative business ideas.
• Creating and implementing long-term mentoring programs for startups.
• Providing advice and consulting for anyone considering starting their own company.

We support newly established companies in acquiring external funds for their development. We also organize many competitions and workshops for startups. Our partners include leading VC funds and companies involved in supporting startups. inQUBE also has a modern space located on the campus of the Wrocław University of Economics, which serves as a place for meetings, work, and learning. The University Business Incubator’s offer includes offices, conference rooms, co-working spaces, relaxation zones, and an event area with two halls and a foyer suitable for business networking. The building is accessible to entrepreneurs, both inQUBE residents and external companies, as well as students.
